When I was a child, my parents brought my brothers and I to Brookfield Orchards in Brookfield, MA often throughout each year. Visiting the orchard was as much a part of our family traditions as birthdays and holidays! Now it's a dream come true to have our very own Upside Down Owl Farm candles offered here. Everyone who is local knows that this is so much more than a beautiful apple orchard. Established in 1918, this "home of the happy apple" includes two gift shop areas, a bakery, and the orchard now offers classes (learn basket weaving or macrame!) Our candles are located right next to the candy and goodies in their store and we are honored!
Located in quaint Sturbridge, MA, The Painted Stone Emporium focuses on art, beauty, creativity and nature. And of course, they offer candles from Upside Down Owl Farm. Snatch a candle or two, a plant, crystals, beads and boho decor while you're there too!
I promise to carry on my family’s tradition and experience in using waxes and combining scents, grown over decades as I learned how to create the best hand poured vegan soy candles from my mother and grandmother (pictured here). Watching them work in their kitchens gave me a skill and a sense of value for something as simple as a candle flame.
Making his living as an artist, my father was a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art who ingrained in me a love of painting and hand crafted art. His influence shines through in my hand painted glass and in our Home Collections line.
Finally, after decades, I am able to offer my family's traditions to you from our farm in Rhode Island.
